1. 01

   Link the parent account

   On the child’s account, open Settings. On desktop use the gear; on mobile choose More, then Settings. Open Parental Controls, choose Add parent, complete the adult age check, and agree to link the accounts.

   Set the content level

   From the parent account, open Settings > Parental Controls, choose the child, then Settings you manage > Content restrictions > Content maturity. Pick the level that fits your child, then review allowed and blocked games.

   Review communication

   Open the child’s communication controls. Keep chat off or limited unless there is a clear reason to enable it. Roblox now uses age checks for communication features, and available controls change as children age.

   Set a daily limit

   In Parental Controls, select the child, find Screen time, choose Manage, then set a Daily limit. Use Top experiences to see the games receiving the most time.

5. 05

   Control spending

   Open Spending restrictions and set a monthly limit where available. Turn on spending notifications. Remember that Roblox limits may not cover gift cards or purchases made through some consoles.

6. 06

   Review friends and games together

   Use the parent dashboard to look at connections, top experiences, and blocked games with your child. Ask who people are instead of silently treating every username as evidence.
